What began as an argument between two women on the side of the highway last night, turned into a hit-and-run that put one woman in the Hospital in critical condition.
The two women had stopped along Westbound 1-30 at about 1:30 am last night. They were arguing when another vehicle struck the driver of the first car before fleeing the scene. The 26 year-old North Texan was taken to Methodist Hospital and put in critical condition. The police shut down 1-30 West for half an hour to investigate but no information about a suspect has been released.
While the police are gathering more information, we can hope that the injured young lady makes a full recovery and let this incident serve as a reminder this Holiday weekend. The fact is that it’s not always safe to be a pedestrian, particularly at night.
As a motorist, try to be aware of the possibility of pedestrians, even on highways. The more we can be aware of our surroundings, the more we will be able to keep accidents like the one last night from happening.
Drive safely, Dallas.
