ANDREWS, TX (10/04/2015) — An accident between a Ford F-150 and an 18-wheeler left Jesus Ivan Loya Cereceres dead and another injured on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 18-year-old Jesus Ivan Loya Cereceres (of Hobbs, New Mexico) was killed on Sunday afternoon following an 18-wheeler accident.
This wreck occurred along Highway 176 in Andrews, Texas.
DPS reported that at around 3:11 p.m., 19-year-old Mario Rios was driving westbound at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line and struck a 2003 Peterbilt truck.
Cereceres, Rios’ passenger, lost his life in the wreckage. Rios was taken to a hospital in Odessa, Texas, where he has been listed in stable condition.
The driver of the semi truck was uninjured.
