HOUSTON, TX (06/25/2015) — A 24-year-old woman was killed Thursday after she was cut off by the driver of an 18-wheeler truck.
According to Houston Police, a 24-year-old woman died late Thursday night after she collided with an 18-wheeler on Loop 610 near the Irvington overpass in Houston, Texas.
Authorities have stated that at around 11:00 p.m., the driver of an 18-wheeler carrying a roll of steel tried to take the Irvington exit. At the last minute, the driver changed his mind and turned back onto the highway, right in the path of an SUV. The driver of the vehicle didn’t have time to stop and rear-ended the semi trailer.
The 24-year-old victim died at the scene.
Police continue to investigate this incident. It is unknown at this time if the driver of the 18-wheeler will face any charges.
