FORT WORTH (12/16/2014) — Five passengers of a Fort Worth City T Bus have been hospitalized following a rear-end accident Tuesday morning.
According to reports, a call came in to emergency responders at around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday morning of a bus accident involving a silver compact SUV and a Fort Worth T bus.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Bryant Irvin Road in West Fort Worth. According to Joan Hunter with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, the bus was heading east and carrying a total of seven passengers when it was struck from the rear by another vehicle.
Five bus passengers (one man and four women) reported injuries, and were transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. While the nature of the injuries is unclear, all were said to be relatively minor. The driver of the silver compact SUV (believed to be a Honda CR-V) was reportedly uninjured.
