A suspected drunk driver is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after crashing his car into… a police cruiser.
Authorities haven’t released many details, but Fox 4 reports that an officer had stopped to help a stalled motorist in Grand Prairie when another driver hit the officer’s squad car. Fortunately, it was empty at the time, and neither the officer nor the motorist were injured. As many of you know, it could have been much worse. Recent alcohol related accidents in Dallas / Fort Worth have taken one daughter and a father of three.
Thankfully, it looks like everyone involved in Wednesday night’s drunk driving accident will be ok.
As an aside, the Fox Story reports that this wasn’t the only car accident Wednesday to involve an officer’s squad car. A four-vehicle accident in Flower Mound left three people hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The same can’t be said for the officer’s car, which suffered a crushed front end.
