Police are searching for the driver of a 1999 red F150 extended cab with chrome wheels in connection with the death of 41-year-old Roland Olvera.
Roland was riding his motorcycle when he turned into the path of the pickup truck at the Northwest Highway bridge over the Tollway. Thrown from his motorcycle, Roland went over the guardrail and landed 20 feet below. He was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup didn’t stop.
Police say that while the driver wasn’t at fault for the motorcycle accident, he or she still had a responsibility to stop and render aid. Failure to do so could result in charges.
Authorities have released this traffic cam video on YouTube hoping someone can help identify the vehicle. It’s very short and starts immediately following the wreck. The red pickup drivers from right to left.
