62 year-old Elaine Burbridge turned herself over to authorities today and is charged with failing to stop and render aid after hitting a young Devin Byrd last week.
It’s been five days since Burbridge hopped a curb near the intersection of Twilight Trail and Floyd Road in Richardson and hit Devin, dragging the boy and his go-kart several feet. From evidence at the scene, investigators have determined that Burbridge knew she hit the boy and yet kept on going. Read Richardson Police spokesman Sgt. Even though Devin Byrd suffered a fractured skull, we are looking forward to his return to health. He is recovering from emergency surgery at Childrens Medical Center.
