Dallas commuters faced an hour delay this morning when an overturned 18-wheeler caused northbound lanes on I-35 to be closed during rush hour.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the semi-truck to wreck, but the driver told emergency workers he heard a popping noise as he was navigating a curve in the road. His cargo shifted and caused the truck to tip. Next thing he knew, the semi was lying across the concrete median.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the wreck. We’ve had some fatal 18 wheeler accidents this month in and around Dallas. Read more about them here, here, and here. This morning’s crash did little more than cause Dallas drivers to be late to work.
Now that the lanes are open again and traffic is flowing, I’m sure people will try and make up for lost time. If you’re one of them… well, stop reading this blog while driving – and drive safely!
