In light of a string of recent , Arlington police are stepping up enforcement and introducing a no-refusal policy.
Wednesday, Arlington PD held a press conference to discuss the task force they launched October 31st. Tina Reese, mother of 10-year-old Tavian Sabur – who passed away after a horrific drunk driving accident in September – took the podium to appeal to drivers everywhere.
Under the new no-refusal program, drivers cannot refuse a breath or blood test if Arlington officers ask them to take one. City officials hope this will curb the alarming number of alcohol-related accidents that have taken place this year.
