26-year-old Jason A. Jones from Duncanville was changing a flat tire on the shoulder of the Tollway’s northbound ramp to the George Bush Turnpike. He was struck down by a hit-and-run driver and died at the scene. North Texas Tollway Authority’s Roadway Customer Service (RCS) workers found Jones’ body at 3 am when they spotted the pulled over white Jeep Grand Cherokee and stopped to help.
Unfortunately, there were no witnesses to the crash and the perpetrator left few clues behind. The police are still investigating the incident. A description of the vehicle has not been released.
