This morning around 3 am a suspected drunk driver raced up I-35W going south in the northbound lanes. Wrong-way driver Jessica Roseman was going as fast as 90 miles per hour in her brown Ford Taurus with her headlights off. It’s no surprise that Roseman found herself into three separate car crashes. The only surprise is that no one was killed.

The first unlucky group of victims was in a white four-door car. They saw the Taurus barreling towards them and swerved out of the way. As a result, the car slammed into a nearby retaining wall near Rosedale Street. One person in the car was taken to the hospital for injuries including chest pains. Not long after the first wreck, Rosedale’s Taurus side-swiped a Suburban on East Berry. Media reports indicate that no one inside the navy blue SUV was injured.
By this point the police had received many calls about the reckless driver. A police car stopped near Hidden Creek in Burleson in an attempt to halt Rosedale’s progress as a road block. The Taurus rammed into the squad car’s door. The police car was thankfully unmanned at the time.
What are some of the techniques that desperate law enforcement officers tried to use to get Rosedale to pull over? They used every trick in the book. The police used their traditional flashing lights. They brought out the embarrassing PA system and called out to the driver. The Tarrant County police even had a helicopter with a bright spotlight hover over Rosedale’s car. The helicopter proved to be too subtle a hint. Ultimately, a stop stick was used to damage the Ford’s tires forcing the car to stop.
The driver was taken to the hospital to have her blood drawn. She was miraculously uninjured. She is being held by police on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. In addition to those charges, charges of accident involving injury and leaving the scene of an accident may be added to the Roseman’s quickly lengthening rap sheet.
