09/23/2013 (Northlake, Texas) — On Monday night, September 23rd, 2013, 55-year-old Richard Ireland of Azle, TX was killed in a two-vehicle accident. The fatal crash occurred near the Texas Motor Speedway shortly after the victim (driving a Ford Mustang) attempted to turn from eastbound 114 to northbound I-35w and collided with a Buick SUV.
While there is heavy road construction on the west side of I-35w, police say it did not contribute, as the accident was on the east side of the highway.
