While going through the intersection, she was hit by a motor vehicle and very seriously injured. Strickland was CareFlited to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where at 11:55 p.m. she was pronounced dead.
The family has said they will receive visitors from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday (10/16/2013) at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, TX. Services for Ms. Audrie Strickland will take place at 4:00 p.m. Thursday (10/17/2013) at Keene Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with burial to follow at Keene Memorial Park.
Unfortunately, as some of you may know, this is not the first auto-pedestrian accident in Joshua, Texas this year. There have actually been several similar incidents involving children, including one on September 6th and one on May 1st.
While (of course) every accident is different, many car-vs-pedestrian crashes are caused by either distracted driving or driver inattention. If you believe negligence played a role in a loved one’s accident, you owe it to your family to speak with a law firm. It costs nothing to hire a contingency-fee attorney to look into the facts of the accident and explain your family’s legal options.
