Denton, Texas — A 45-year-old man was hospitalized with a suspected broken leg on Wednesday evening (11/06/2013) after being struck by a Ford F-150 while crossing the street on his bike.
33-year-old Uriel Carmona-Garcia has been arrested and charged for failure to stop and render aid after witnesses say he tried to flee the scene of the accident. Carmona-Garcia has been booked into Denton city jail. The victim was taken to Denton Regional Medical Center.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Campbell Lane and McKinney Street. One has to be thankful that the victim was not more-seriously injured, and that the hit-and-run driver was caught. An investigation is continuing.
