Dallas, Texas — 16-year-old Jerry Nguyen has died following a Tuesday morning (11/12/2013) auto-pedestrian accident on Millmar Drive near Bryan Adams High School, east of White Rock Lake. Jerry Nguyen was a student at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center in Dallas and was near the bus stop when the accident took place.
According to police, a female driver in a green Volkswagen Beetle had dropped off the teenage victim at about 7:45 a.m. She then attempted an illegal U-turn on Millmar Dr., and somehow ended up striking the Mr. Nguyen. The victim was pinned under the vehicle and died at a local hospital.
The driver of the Volkswagen Beetle was reportedly questioned by police, but not arrested. It is unclear whether the driver will face criminal charges.
