Fort Worth, Texas — One 40-year-old woman has died, and another 50-year-old man is in critical condition following a Sunday afternoon (11/24/2013) car accident on Interstate 30.
A passing motorist, driving westbound on Interstate 30, noticed the Chevrolet Corvette upside down in a creek at about 1:00 p.m. and called 911. Rescue crews found the car partially submerged in the creek, and two people outside of the vehicle. Investigators say that both victims were submerged in the icy creek before passers-by helped get them out of the vehicle. The female passenger was unconscious and was transported to John Peter Smith hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The male driver was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth in critical condition.
No identities have been released, and the man’s condition is not know at this time.
