Justin, Texas — 16-year-old Katelyn ShyAnn Hooper, of Haslet, was killed Monday evening (02/10/2014) when her vehicle was struck by an out-of-control three-quarter ton pickup truck. Her passenger, 16-year-old Brianna Christensen, remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
The accident occurred in far north Fort Worth on FM 156 just south of Highway 114 (near Northwest High School in Justin, TX) at around 5:30 p.m. when, according to officials, the driver of a three-quarter ton Ford pickup truck (F-250) lost control while traveling north, crossed the center lane, and struck the Ford Contour driven by Katelyn ShyAnn Hooper.
Ms. Hooper died at the scene of the accident. Passenger Brianna Christensen, also of Haslet, was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, 31-year-old April Seleska of Denton, was also taken to Harris Fort Worth with serious injuries.
Katelyn ShyAnn Hooper was a student at Northwest High School in Justin, Texas.
