Dallas, Texas — One woman has been arrested following a wrong-way crash on Central Expressway on Saturday night (02/22/2014). The other driver has been hospitalized for serious injuries.
According to reports, Hallie Jean Young, 36, was driving her blue Lexus northbound in the southbound lanes of Central Expressway (US-75) when she hit an oncoming Dodge Charger at about 10:25 p.m. The accident occurred in the 400 block of N. Central Expressway, just past the Haskell Avenue exit.
The driver of the other vehicle, Erica Davidson, was transported to Baylor University Medical Center for “serious bodily injury.” According to reports, she suffered seven broken bones, including her hip and ankle.
Hallie Young was also hospitalized following the car crash, but was released and booked into Lew Sterrett Jail around 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning under a charge of intoxicated assault with a vehicle. Records show that Young was previously arrested for a DWI in late 2009, but the charges were dismissed in late 2010. More upsetting, is that she was also arrested earlier this month (Febrary 10th) for driving while intoxicated on a North Texas highway and assaulting a public servant, according to Frisco police records.
