Fort Worth — Six people have been injured in a 4-vehicle accident involving a FedEx truck on East Loop 820 this morning (03/17/2014).
According to reports, a FedEx box truck was traveling northbound on Interstate 820 (East Loop 820) near Rosedale on Monday when the driver lost control at around 8:30 a.m. The FedEx truck veered left and crossed the highway median, plowed through the highway divider, and ended up on its side in the southbound lanes of traffic. It was in the southbound lanes when the three additional vehicles became involved in the accident.
According to MedStar, one motorist was reportedly ejected in the crash, while another had to be extracted from their vehicle by Fort Worth fire crews. Two victims were taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. One in serious condition and the other with injuries which were said to be non-life-threatening. Two additional victims were transported to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth with minor injuries. The two remaining victims were treated and released at the scene of the accident.
