FORT WORTH, TX (04/18/2014) — 20-year-old Tajh Long and another man were killed in a head-on accident on E. Loop 820 involving three vehicles at around 1:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, both victims were travelling northbound on East Loop 820 (near East Rosedale Street) in a black Acura when police say the Acura crossed the grassy median and collided with a blue Chevrolet pickup truck in the southbound lanes. The pickup spun and swerved and continued heading southbound, while the Acura then collided with a second southbound truck (a white Ford F-250 pickup) head-on.
According to reports by one witness, Melissa Shearin, the two young men were found pinned in the Acura, underneath the F-250 pickup truck. One had already passed, and the other victim died at the scene a few moments later. It is unclear whether Tajh Long, or Arlington, was the driver or passenger. The four occupants of the white Ford F-250 were reportedly not seriously hurt.
According to police, drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved.
