ARLINGTON, TX (8/2/2014) — A man in his 50s was killed Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a vehicle which was crossing traffic.
While Arlington Police are still investigating the accident and trying to determine who was at fault, they do say that a man was killed after a woman in her 80s attempted to turn left across the westbound lane of Arkansas Lane and into a parking lot (near Fielder Road) when the motorcyclist struck the woman’s car at about 1:40 p.m.
The victim, who was wearing his helmet, was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The female driver of the maroon sedan was treated for minor injuries and released. No charges have been filed, and police are still investigating.
