LUFKIN, TX (11/09/2014) — Motorcyclist Timothy Lee Snead has died following a Sunday afternoon 2-vehicle accident on Highway 69.
According to reports, 28-year-old Timothy Lee Snead (of Huntington, TX) was riding his motorcycle near the Ellen Trout Zoo on Sunday afternoon when he was involved in an accident with another vehicle near the intersection of Highway 69 and Ellen Trout Drive. Snead was transported to Saint Lukes Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, 68-year-old Marilyn F. Crawford (of Hazlehurst, GA), was ticketed for an unsafe lane change. Crawford and her 6-year-old child passenger were reportedly uninjured. The accident remains under investigation.
