POLK COUNTY, TX (12/08/2014) — A head-on collision on Highway 287 has claimed the life of Sue Little, and left Lynn Keith Chandler and Carolyn Ruterman hospitalized.
On Monday at around 11:13 a.m., Livingston DPS Troopers responded to the scene of a fatal crash on highway 287, just three miles west of Corrigan. According to the preliminary crash investigation, 43-year-old Lynn Keith Chandler, of Groveton, and a passenger (Carolyn Ruterman) were traveling eastbound on SH 287 when the pickup truck allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another car head-on.
The driver of the second car, 67-year-old Sue Little of Little Spring, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Lynn Chandler and passenger Carolyn Ruterman were taken by air ambulance (FareFlite) to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Beaumont. Their condition has not been released.
