TYLER, TX (05/05/2015) — A teenager from Whitehouse, Texas was killed, and three others were injured, this morning after a head-on collision with another vehicle on Highway 69 North near Tyler.
A teen from Whitehouse, Texas has died after sustaining injuries following an accident in North Tyler. While the investigation is still pending, police have confirmed the victim was 19-year-old Tyler Galpin.
According to reports, Galpin was driving north on Highway 69 near County Road 427 shortly before 7:30 a.m. when his blue 1995 Buick Century collided head-on with a gray 2005 Nissan Titan. The driver of the Nissan has been identified as 45-year-old Monica Cook of Lindale. She, along with her two daughters, Kathin Cook, 16, and Paige Cook, 11, also sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospital. Their injuries were said to be nonlife-threatening.
