HENDERSON, TX (05/13/2015) — Two volunteer firemen were injured in a firetruck roll-over accident on Wednesday afternoon near Henderson, Texas in Rusk County.
According to reports, two Eastside volunteer firefighters were injured on Wednesday afternoon in Rusk County, Texas at around 12:40 p.m. after being involved in a roll-over accident while they were responding to call.
The wreck they were responding to occurred near Highway 79 and Farm to Market Road 348. While they were traveling to the scene, the men were involved in a rollover crash. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
Sources state that both firefighters sustained injuries and were transported to a Longview hospital. One of the men was treated and released; the other firefighter was expected to be released soon.
