WICHITA FALLS, TX (06/03/2015) — Two people were injured on Wednesday afternoon after a head-on collision at the intersection of Maurine Street and Central Freeway in Wichita Falls, Texas.
According to recent reports, a man fled the scene on foot after causing a two-vehicle head-on wreck at the intersection of Maurine Street and the access road to Central Freeway in Wichita Falls, Texas on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses state that a pickup truck ran a stop sign and collided with the passenger side of a sedan on the Northbound Access Road near a convenience store around 1:00 p.m. The female passenger of the sedan sustained leg injuries. An elderly man—who was a passenger in the pickup truck—was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
After the crash, the driver of the pickup truck ran away from the scene on foot. Police believe the man may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident since a vodka bottle was found inside his vehicle.
