SHERMAN, TX (06/14/2015) — A mother and daughter were injured after a two-vehicle accident on Sunday on Texoma Parkway at Taylor Street in Sherman, Texas.
According to reports, a mother and daughter were injured in a two-vehicle rollover accident on Sunday afternoon, shortly before 1:00 p.m., at the intersection of Texoma Parkway and Taylor Street in Sherman, Texas.
Reportedly, a white van traveling southbound on Texoma Parkway broadsided a black Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling eastbound on Taylor Street.
The white van that caused the accident landed on its top, trapping a mother—who was the driver—and two children inside the vehicle. None of those individuals were injured, however, the mother was arrested for issues not related to the incident.
Sherman police stated that the woman driving the PT Cruiser was transported via ambulance to a nearby area hospital for treatment. Her daughter was air lifted (CareFlite) to Children’s Hospital in Dallas. Both mother and daughter are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Sherman officials continue to investigate the cause of the accident to determine which party is at fault.
