FORT WORTH, TX (06/27/2015) — Pedestrian Michael Black, 29, was killed after a suspected drunk driver, 27-year-old Michael Watson, struck him in a Fort Worth roadway.
According to authorities, 29-year-old Michael Black was killed early Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas after being struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the roadway.
Cpl. Tracy Knight, a police spokeswoman stated that around 1:15 a.m. Black was walking along the 5600 block of Martin Street, near the Loop 820 access road, when 27-year-old Michael Watson struck him with his pickup truck.
According to the Tarrant County medical examiner, Michael Black was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
After the incident, Watson was arrested on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
