FORT WORTH, TX (07/11/2015) — 49-year-old Carl Perry died Saturday night after his motorcycle collided with a Toyota Camry.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website confirmed that motorcyclist Carl Perry, 49, was killed on Saturday following a crash in the 1300 block of E. Rosedale Street at Freeman Street in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to Fort Worth police spokeswoman Cpl. Tracey Knight, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Perry collided his Suzuki motorcycle into a Toyota Camry.
“The Camry stopped at the stop sign, proceeded north through the intersection at this location when the motorcycle collided with the left rear area of the car,” Knight wrote in an email.
Perry died at the scene from severe trauma to the head and chest.
No arrests have been made in regard to this incident, but police are still investigating.
Commentary
As there are no stop signs on that area of E. Rosedale Street, it’s likely that the driver of the Camry entered the roadway without yielding to the motorcycle. Of course, not all initial reports are 100% accurate, and only an investigation will determine the facts leading up to the accident. Regardless, our thoughts are with Mr. Perry’s family at this time.
