DIBOLL, TX (08/03/2015) — Four people have been hospitalized after a tire blowout on Highway 59 resulted in a 2-car accident Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, 57-year-old Diana Hunter, Gary Alan Hunter, 40-year-old Glynis Richardson, and Torriante Leeshanai Richardson were all injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 59 in Diboll, Texas.
A preliminary crash report indicated that shortly before 1:00 p.m., a 2004 Ford SUV—driven by Glynis Richardson—was traveling southbound on Highway 59 when it had a blowout, causing the vehicle to swerve across the grassy highway median into northbound traffic. Richardson struck Diana Hunter’s 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck on the driver’s side, which caused the truck to rollover and land in a ditch.
Diana Hunter, her passenger Gary Hunter, Glynis Richardson, and her passenger Torriante Richardson, were all transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.
This accident remains under investigation.
