WICHITA FALLS, TX (08/06/2015) — A bicyclist was injured after he was struck by vehicle on Thursday morning along Old Iowa Park Road.
According to authorities, 34-year-old Tommy Marshall was injured after a pickup truck struck him while he was riding his bicycle along Old Iowa Park Road at City View Drive in Wichita Falls, Texas on Thursday morning.
Officers state that at around 7:30 a.m., Marshall was traveling in the eastbound lanes of Old Iowa Park Road when he was sideswiped by a green Ford pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck stated that the sun was in his eyes and he was unable to see Marshall.
According to police, Marshall was transported to a nearby area hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury. Luckily, officers say, Marshall was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
