CLAYTON, TX (08/12/2015) – Two people have died, and one woman was injured, after a two-vehicle car accident on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Joshua Paul Andrus, 25, and Mikinzey Paige Andrus, 4, were killed in a two-car auto accident along Highway 315 on Wednesday afternoon in Clayton, Texas. 25-year-old Ashley Necole Evans was also injured in the crash.
DPS reported that shortly before 2:00 p.m., 31-year-old Fred Arthur Roach was traveling eastbound on State Highway 315 in a Ford F350 tow truck, when he allegedly experienced a blowout and lost control of his vehicle. The pickup truck veered into the westbound lanes of the highway and collided with a 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Josh Andrus.
The impact claimed the life of Joshua Andrus and 4-year-old Mikinzey Andrus (both from Beckville, Texas). Their passenger, Ashley Evans (also of Beckville), was injured and transported to a hospital in Carthage, Texas. She has since been treated and released.
According to authorities, Roach received medical attention at the scene and was released.
Funeral services are expected to be held Monday, August 17th, according to Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home.
