ABILENE, TX (08/17/2015) – One woman was injured, and a teenage girl died, after a two-vehicle crash on Monday night.
33-year-old Shirley Holt Price was injured, and 16-year-old Raquel Andrea Zipprich was killed, following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Buffalo Gap Road and Rio Mesa Drive in Abilene, Texas on Monday night.
Police reported that the crash occurred at around 7:30 p.m. when a 2006 Ford Mustang, driven by Zipprich, crashed into Price’s gray, 2014 Dodge Charger.
“An investigation revealed that the Ford Mustang had failed to yield the right of way to the Dodge Charger and entered the roadway into the path of the Charger, resulting in a collision,” according to an Abilene Police Department news release.
Shirley Price was transported to Hendrick Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Zipprich was transported to Abilene Regional Medical Center, where she later died.
This fatal crash remains under investigation.
