BURLESON, TX (08/28/2015) — A head-on car accident on Friday night claimed the life of Joe Pace and injured another.
According to police, 89-year-old Joe Pace has died following a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the 1500 block of E. Renfro Street in Burleson, Texas on Friday night.
Authorities state that at around 9:03 p.m., Pace was traveling eastbound on Renfro Street in a 2009 Honda Accord when a westbound 2010 Chevrolet Camaro—driven by 54-year-old Jimmy Rogers—crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the front left corner of Pace’s vehicle. The two vehicles collided between Houston Road and Hidden Creek Parkway.
After the initial impact, the Camaro veered off the roadway and hit a building.
Pace was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, where died on Sunday evening at 8:18 p.m.
According to officials, Rogers was taken to a Fort Worth hospital, however, his current condition is unknown.
This fatal crash remains under investigation.
