WARREN, TX (09/02/2015) — 72-year-old Thomas Priddy was injured after his pickup truck was struck head-on early Wednesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 72-year-old Thomas Priddy was injured following a two-vehicle crash on FM 1943 in Warren, Texas on Wednesday morning.
DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis reported that just before 8:00 a.m., a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound on FM 1943 when a tire blowout caused the vehicle to veer into the eastbound lane. The Chevrolet then struck an oncoming 2006 Ford pickup truck—driven by Priddy—head-on.
According to authorities, Thomas Priddy was extricated from his vehicle and transported via medical helicopter (CareFlite) to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. His current condition is unknown.
The two occupants of the Chevrolet, the 17-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger, were not injured in the wreckage. The two teens were reportedly on their way to school when the crash occurred.
