VAN, TX (09/26/2015) — A fatal rollover crash on Saturday afternoon claimed the life of Chandlor Allen.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a rollover wreck on Interstate 20 in Van, Texas claimed the life of 18-year-old Chandlor Allen, of DeSoto, on Saturday afternoon.
DPS Troopers stated that at around 2:30 p.m., 18-year-old Keenan Clark II was traveling westbound in a 1998 Ford Ranger when his back left tire blew out, causing the vehicle to run off the road and roll over three times. The three Texas College baseball players were headed back to Dallas from Tyler at the time of the crash.
Both Chandlor Allen and 18-year-old Anferne Allen, Clark’s passengers, were ejected. Neither one was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
All three teenagers were taken to Trinity Mother Frances Hospital for treatment, where Chandlor later died.
The conditions of Clark and Anferne Allen are currently unknown.
