NOCONA, TX (10/24/2015) — A wrong way driver caused an accident on Saturday that killed Brent Winkler and Kyle Kemp, and seriously injured Jackson Pennington.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Brent Michael Winkler and Kyle David Kemp, both 20, died on Saturday following a head-on collision along Highway 82 in Nocona, Texas.
The accident also seriously injured 22-year-old Jackson Taylor Pennington.
DPS officials reported that 52-year-old Terri Donnell Sanders was traveling eastbound along Highway 82 in a 2008 Toyota Cruiser when she crossed the center stripe and struck Winkler’s Dodge head-on.
Winkler and Kemp—Winkler’s passenger—were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators stated that Pennington, the third occupant of the Dodge, was transported to Nocona General Hospital in serious condition.
Sanders was also taken to Nocona General Hospital in stable condition.
This fatal car accident remains under investigation.
