SEMINOLE, TX (10/27/2015) — A wrong way driver caused a major head-on wreck that killed Susana Friessen and injured Susana and Helena Goertzen and a 13-year-old male on Tuesday night.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 32-year-old Susana Friessen was killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday night along Highway 385 in Seminole, Texas.
The accident also injured 33-year-old Susana Goertzen, 55-year-old Helena Goertzen, and a 13-year-old male.
The DPS reported that shortly before 9:00 p.m., 21-year-old Coby Michelle was driving his 2007 Honda Civic northbound in the southbound lanes when he struck Susana Goertzen’s Ford F-150.
Friessen, a passenger in the Ford, lost her life in the wreckage.
Susana Goertzen suffered critical injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
Helena Goertzen and the 13-year-old male both sustained critical injuries; they were taken to University Medical Center (UMC) in Lubbock, Texas for treatment.
According to the DPS, Michelle also taken to UMC in Lubbock, where he remains in critical condition.
