LONGVIEW, TX (11/04/2015) — A car-vs-motorcycle accident on Wednesday has claimed the life of Robert Allen Lamay.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Robert Allen Lamay has been identified as the victim of Wednesday night’s motorcycle accident that occurred at the intersection of Country Club Road and Loop 281 in Longview, Texas.
DPS reported that shortly before 8:00 p.m., 22-year-old Jacob Ponder was in his Kia Optima, stopped at Country Club Road, when he attempted to turn onto Loop 281 and moved directly in the path of Lamay’s motorcycle which was heading south in the inside lane of Loop 281.
The two vehicles collided and Lamay was thrown from his motorcycle. Lamay was transported to a hospital in Longview where he later died from his injuries.
