LITTLEFIELD, TX (12/18/2015) — A fatal, head-on collision on Friday night claimed the life of Saunya Marie Collins and Abigail Celeste Arroyos.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) identified 42-year-old Saunya Marie Collins and 22-year-old Abigail Celeste Arroyos as the victims of a fatal head-on collision that occurred on U.S. 385 in Littlefield, Texas.
The DPS reported that around 9:00 p.m., Abigail Arroyos—a graduate of Texas Tech University—was traveling along U.S. 385 when she began drifting into the shoulder, over corrected and struck Collins’ vehicle head-on.
Collins, who was an ER nurse at Lamb Healthcare Center, died at the scene.
Arroyos was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday evening.
