EASTLAND, TX (01/27/2016) — Wayne McCoy was seriously injured on Wednesday when his vehicle was struck by a wrong way driver.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 58-year-old Wayne Raymond McCoy was seriously injured following a head-on car accident that occurred on FM 2214 in Eastland, Texas.
The DPS reported that at around 3:30 p.m., 43-year-old Steven Duane Wells was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of FM 2214 when his 2010 Ford Fusion collided with a 2001 Ford F-250, driven by McCoy.
Wells lost his life in the wreckage.
McCoy was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas with incapacitating injuries.
Frederick Biddle, public information officer with DPS, stated that this fatal accident remains under investigation.
