Driver In Plano, TX Hit and Run Fled the Scene
Honestly, I don’t know how I would react in a similar situation. Knowing that I may have potentially injured or killed another with my car could cause me to panic. Since we don’t know how our emotions may flutter in the heat of the moment, making a conscious decision now to do the right thing is necessary.
As WFAA reports, one person is critically injured after a car accident in Plano this morning. Drivers traveling toward Allen experienced huge delays as police shut northbound US-75 (Central Expressway) down. As of 10:45 am, though, all lanes are clear and traffic is beginning to move more freely again.
While one person lay injured on the highway, the driver of the other involved vehicle fled the scene. The driver’s vehicle was found near Spring Creek Parkway. Police took the individual in custody for fleeing the scene of an accident – or committing a hit and run.
The Dallas auto accident lawyers at the Rasansky Law Firm know that the terror of legal repercussions can motivate offenders to flee the scene of an accident. However, the desire and passion to do the right thing should always override the temporary consequences of owning up to a mistake. This is a lesson we are taught as children, but often forget as we grow older.
Drive safely, Dallas – and do the right thing.
