COLEMAN, TX (04/18/2016) — Brittany Grove and Roberto Rodriguez died following a three-vehicle accident on Monday that also left Alejandro Ayala and Matthew Wayne injured.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) identified 24-year-old Brittany Dawn Grove, 60-year-old Alejandro Soto Ayala, 55-year-old Matthew Wayne, and 37-year-old Roberto A. Rodriguez as the victims of a fatal three-vehicle car accident that occurred along Highway 84 in Coleman, Texas.
The DPS reported that at around 2:00 p.m., Rodriguez was traveling eastbound in a 2008 Chevrolet K 1500 pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle, slid across the highway into the westbound lane, and struck a Chevrolet Cruz driven by Grove.
After the initial impact, Rodriguez’s vehicle struck an oncoming Ford Taurus, driven by Wayne.
Rodriguez and Grove lost their lives in the wreckage.
Alejandro Ayala, Rodriguez’s passenger, was transported to Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas with critical injuries. Matthew Wayne was taken to Coleman County Medical Center where he has since been treated and released.
