CANYON, TX (08/01/2016) — Tow truck operator KC Cantu died after a suspected drunk driver crashed into his truck along I-27.
According to authorities, 28-year-old KC Cantu was killed following a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Interstate 27 near Rockwell Road in Canyon, Texas.
Police reported that shortly before midnight, 22-year-old Jose Hernandez crashed into a tow truck that Cantu was adjusting along Interstate 27.
Cantu lost his life at the scene.
Officials arrested and charged Hernandez with intoxication manslaughter after completing a DWI investigation.
