MISSION, TX (08/17/2016) — Kryztal Luna died in a Wednesday morning accident that also injured Juan Martinez and Jacob Rivera.
According to authorities, 21-year-old Kryztal Luna was killed in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Showers Road and West Expressway 83 in Mission, Texas.
Police reported that at around 2:00 a.m., Jacob Rivera, a dispatcher for the Palmview Police Department (PPD), was driving a red Ford Mustang when he crashed into an overpass support column. His vehicle was occupied by two other passengers: Kryztal Luna and PPD officer Juan Martinez.
Luna did not survive the crash.
Martinez and Rivera remain hospitalized at this time; their current conditions are unknown.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating this accident.
