Commentary
Police are currently investigating, and say they suspect that the pedestrian may have been walking against traffic and disregarded the control light for the crosswalk. However, this does not negate the fact that ALL drivers are required to yield to pedestrians in the roadway. More importantly, what kind of person consciously decides to flee the scene of an accident—especially a car accident where someone has been killed?
To those affected by this tragic accident, we offer our condolences.
