An investigation is underway to determine what caused a speeding car to leave westbound Interstate 30 and crash head-on into a pillar supporting the Davis Drive overpass.
The accident occurred earlier this morning and resulted in massive backups along the freeway as westbound lanes were closed and onlookers slowed to get a better look. Portions of Davis Drive were shut down also..
