AMARILLO, TX (10/24/2016) — Authorities identified Bobby and Oneta Mason as the victims of an 18-wheeler accident that occurred on Monday.
According to authorities, 57-year-old Bobby Mason and 56-year-old Oneta Mason (both of Amarillo) were injured in a head-on accident that occurred on Interstate 40 in Amarillo, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated that shortly before 9:00 p.m, 48-year-old Tina Quinn (of Amarillo) was traveling eastbound in a 2010 Dodge Charger when she crossed the center median and collided head-on with a Peterbilt 18-wheeler, driven by Bobby Mason.
Quinn was killed in the collision. Both Bobby and Oneta Mason were taken to a nearby area hospital for treatment. Bobby has since been treated and released. Oneta remains in critical condition.
The DPS is currently investigating this accident.

Police have stated that the area and the weather were both clear, meaning that neither appear to factors in this wreck. At this time, officials are working to determine what caused the at-fault driver to drift into oncoming traffic. A full investigation should offer more answers.
