POINT COMFORT, TX (12/05/2016) — Taylor Nobles and Darel Olson were injured after a four-vehicle accident on Monday morning.
Police have identified the victims of a multi-vehicle collision on State Highway 35 in Point Comfort, Texas as: 42-year-old Darel Brandon Olson (of Victoria) and 22-year-old Taylor Charles Nobles (of Yoakum).
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Ruben San Miguel, a 2012 Dodge pickup truck—driven by Olsen—and a 2012 Hyundai Genesis—driven by Nobles—were both traveling northbound on SH 35.
33-year-old Lyzetpe Olivares Lugo was traveling northbound in a 2001 Ford pickup truck when she failed to control her speed and rear-ended the Genesis. The impact forced the Genesis to collide with the Dodge and was pushed into the southbound lane of traffic.
Immediately following the initial accident, a southbound 1999 International tractor-trailer, driven by Marvin Antonio Mendjivar Landaverede, struck Nobles’ vehicle.
Officials stated that Olsen, Lugo and Nobles were all taken to Citizens Medical Center for treatment.
