MADISONVILLE, TX (01/27/2017) — Marcus Harrison died following an accident involving fallen cargo on I-45 Friday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) identified 59-year-old Marcus Harrison (of Buffalo, Texas) as the victim of an 18-wheeler accident that occurred on Interstate 45, about 10 miles north of Madisonville, Texas.
According to DPS Trooper Jimmy Morgan, the driver of a southbound 18-wheeler lost control, left the roadway, and struck a cable barrier in the median. As the driver attempted to correct the vehicle, a large piece of equipment on his trailer fell onto the highway.
Harrison’s vehicle collided with the equipment, and DPS reports he was killed on impact.
